Running coaching on the move

Coaching

Training that fits the life you already have

Help back into daily activity, or a clearer plan for the next race. Coaching here grows out of injury work, testing and years of watching how people actually train.

Running and triathlon plans

Plans are written for recreational and elite athletes. A coach-match pairs you with someone who understands the event and the week you can honestly train in. You get a weekly plan, app access through the training software, and adjustments when life changes the schedule.

Running

Paces, recovery and strength notes tied to the distance you care about.

Triathlon

Swim, bike and run balanced so one discipline does not quietly undo the others.

Return to training

If injury paused you, coaching picks up from the rehab plan instead of pretending it did not happen.

Running gait analysis

Gait analysis shows inefficient habits in walking or running. You move on a treadmill that behaves more like the road, filmed from several angles, then watch yourself in slow motion. It is often a surprise. The point is not a single perfect style. It is the handful of details your body can actually change.

  1. Talk through lifestyle, old injuries, goals and whether long hours of sitting are shaping the stride.
  2. Test strength, control and simple-to-complex movements.
  3. Film impact, stride length and frequency, foot strike, posture and hip mechanics.
  4. Leave with a written report, then return for a re-check so the new habits stick.

Strength and conditioning

Strength work can sit beside any sport to add power and to make acute and chronic injuries less likely. A one-to-one session can use video and force-plate feedback, then becomes a plan you repeat. It is a clean supplement to sports training rather than a replacement for it.

Fitness testing

Testing shows strengths, weak spots and the intensities worth using in training and racing. Level does not matter. Measures of physiology guide what kind of work will move you.

Bike fitness test

Resting metabolic rate

About twenty quiet minutes of gas analysis, no hard effort. The report shows calories for losing, holding or gaining weight, and whether metabolism is running fast or slow.

Laboratory style bike test

Chester step and gas analysis

Heart rate plus how the body uses oxygen. Useful as a baseline and for endurance or metabolic training notes.

Submaximal run or ride

VO2, heart rate, speed or power and ventilation recorded every 15 seconds while walking, running or cycling, up to about 80% of maximum heart rate. Training and racing zones come from your data, including longer events.

Nutritional analysis

Food advice for rehab, performance, a steadier lifestyle, or alongside physiotherapy. The plan is practical: meals and recipes you will actually cook, macros and micros for energy and recovery, supplement notes only if something is missing, and check-ins so the plan can change. Ultrasound body-composition analysis can track fat and muscle thickness so progress is visible.
